Founding Director

Mr. Viorel Ciaorec is the driving force behind U.R.B. Mr. Ciaorec who is the Director General of the company has a very rich and strong experience in the bearing field spanning over 38 years in Romanian bearing industry. He is a renowned Tribology specialist and a Doctor of Science.

  • Mr. Ciaorec graduated  from the Polytechnic University in 1971 specializing in Electro mechanical Engineering.
  • He then worked in Rulmental Brashov in the capacity of production machine 1973.
  • Subsequently he joined 1973 (name of factory) Alexandria and worked in desinger shop for bearings and special tools for bearings production. Over the years he managed many departments from factory up to General Manager position which was acquired in 1998 by Koyo Seiko Co Japan. From 1996 he has become a Doctor of Science (D.Sc).
  • He was effectively in charge of the entire production of Koyo Romania which at its peak produced over 4,000,000 sets per month. He has specialized in Tribology (Tribology is the science and technology of interacting surfaces in relative motion).
  • Over his career he has participated in numerous international conferences in London, Cairo, Haifa, and has extensively trained in Japan and has vast knowledge and expertise in the manufacturing of high quality bearings.

Mr. Ciaorec has indepth knowledge of both European and Japanese manufacturing standards. He has in depth knowledge of the following standards:;

Din Logo Deutsches Institut für Normung in short form known as DIN or in English translated as German Institute for Standardization). He has in depth knowledge of DIN 625 and DIN 720 which are standards used in the manufacturing of Ball Bearings and Tapered Roller Bearings respectively.

ISO logo International Organization for standardization. Specifically the ISO standards of 492, 582, 281, 5753, 355, 464 and 1132 are used in the manufacturing of bearings. The ISO is the world's largest developer of International Standards.

ISO 492 specifies tolerances for boundary dimensions (except chamfer dimensions) and the running accuracy of radial rolling bearings specified in ISO 15, ISO 355 and ISO 8443.

ISO 582 specifies the maximum chamfer dimensions of metric series rolling bearings, for which boundary dimensions, including chamfer minimum dimensions, are given in other International Standards

ISO 281 specifies methods of calculating the basic dynamic load rating of rolling bearings within the size ranges shown in the relevantISO publications, manufactured from contemporary, commonly used, high quality hardened bearing steel, in accordance with good manufacturing practice and basically of conventional design as regards the shape of rolling contact surfaces

ISO 5753 specifies values of radial internal clearance for various type of bearings

ISO 355 specifies bearing and subunit boundary dimensions for complete single-row and double-row tapered roller bearings ISO 464 Specifies the snap ring groove dimensions, minimum chamfer dimensions on the snap ring groove side of the outer ring and the snap ring dimensions for radial bearings

ISO 1132 Specifies the terms and definitions for tolerances of bearings.
